AS Level: Paper 1 - tests a student's ability to program, as well as their theoretical knowledge of computer science (on-screen exam | 50% of AS-Level) Paper 2 - tests a student’s theoretical knowledge of the non-programming aspects of computer science (written exam | 50% of AS-Level) A Level: Paper 1 - tests a student's ability to program, as well as their theoretical knowledge of Computer Science (on-screen exam | 40% of A Level) Paper 2 - tests a student’s theoretical knowledge of the non-programming aspects of computer science (written exam | 40% of A Level) Non-Exam Assessment - the NEA assesses student's ability to use the knowledge and skills gained through the course to solve or investigate a practical problem.
