Assessment

Component 1: Physical geography: (40% of A level) Assessment of this unit will take place in the form of a 2 hour 30 minute paper worth 120 marks. Component 2: Human geography (40% of A level) Assessment of this unit will take place in the form of a 2 hour 30 minute paper worth 120 marks. Component 3: Geographical investigation (20% of A level) Assessment of this unit will be a 3,000 to 4,000 word investigation worth 60 marks. It will be marked by the classroom teachers and moderated by AQA.
