Unit 1: Love Through the Ages Exam. Three texts: one poetry, one prose and one Shakespeare text. 40% of the A‐level grade. Unit 2: Texts in Shared Contexts Exam. Three texts: one poetry, one prose and one drama text. 40% of the A‐level grade. Unit 3: Independent CriƟcal Study Coursework: 1 essay. 20% of the A‐level grade. Students will be charged for their copies of the texts they study. The department will provide examination copies. Students will also be offered the opportunity to see any relevant theatre products.
