Course summary

Mathematics is the study of knowledge based on number, shape, change and space. It uses counting, calculations and measurements as a means to solve problems. Mathematicians are encouraged to seek out patterns and investigate and prove theories. Mathematics is vital: it develops analytical skills essential for problem solving in all aspects of our daily, academic and working lives. Financial astuteness is essential for our future economic wellbeing. Further Mathematics is an extension of the Mathematics A Level and provides a rigorous and stimulating extension to the confident and talented girl.
