Course summary

Philosophy provides excellent training in critical and independent thinking. You will develop your ability to analyse arguments critically, evaluate their worth, cherry pick the wheat and discard the chaff. The subject demands engagement with some of the most profound concepts and basic underpinnings of our world. Anything from the creation of universe to the existence of a grain of sand. How we distinguish between the "I" and everyone else. What our processes for making claims of truths are and whether they are reliable. Whilst the end product of absolute and eternal truth may be out of our grasp (or not) the journey towards it reveals hidden truths and greater mysteries along the way.
