Entry Requirements

Due to this being an essay-based subject a 7 or 8 grade at GCSE English is recommended. What is essential is the willingness to engage in a deep-dive into the vast caverns of the human experience to extract rich veins of precious knowledge. For a student with both an active curiosity and a keen mind Philosophy can yield enormous rewards your hard work. Subjects typically (but by no means exclusively) taken in combination with Philosophy are: English, History, Psychology, Sociology, Science, Mathematics, Economics, Ancient History and Classical Civilisation (or any other bar Religous Studies). Due to the broad content range in Philosophy, it can enhance your subject appreciation in many of these subjects as well as being valuable on its own.
