Component One: Devising (40%) • Devised performance from the stimulus and inspired by a theatre practitioner of their choosing. • 3000-word portfolio outlining research undertaken, the process of creating the piece and analysis and evaluation of the final performance. Component Two: Text in Performance (20%) • Performance of a monologue/duologue • Performance of a group piece both to a visiting external examiner Component Three: Theatre Makers in Practice (40%) • Live Theatre question • Study of text one both as an actor and as a designer • Study of text two as a director and inspired by a practitioner Assessment Objective 1 (20%) • Create and develop ideas to communicate meaning as part of the theatre-making process, making connections between dramatic theory and practice. Assessment Objective 2 (30%) • Apply theatrical skills to realise artistic intentions in live performance. Assessment Objective 3 (30%) • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how drama and theatre is developed and performed. Assessment Objective 4 (20%) • Analyse and evaluate their own work and the work of others.
