Component 01: Periodic table, elements and physical chemistry - testing Modules 1, 2, 3 and 5 2 hours 15 minutes written paper: 100 marks 37% of total A level Component 02: Synthesis and analytical techniques - testing Modules 1, 2, 4 and 6. 2 hours 15 minutes written paper: 100 marks 37% of total A level Component 03: Unied chemistry – testing all Modules (1 to 6) 1 hour 30 minutes written paper: 70 marks 26% of total A level Component 04 (non-exam assessment) The Practical Endorsement can form part of the A level. A level students can be entered for Component 04 – ‘Practical Endorsement in Chemistry’ and the grade in their nal award is endorsed accordingly. This is teacher assessed and evidenced. This will be a separately reported result
