Assessment

This qualification is linear. Linear means that students will sit all their exams and submit all their non-exam assessment at the end of the course. PAPER 1: 2.5 hours, 30%, Core technical principles and core designing and making principles. PAPER 2: 1.5 hours, 20%, Specialist knowledge, technical and designing and making principles. NEA (NON EXAM ASSESSMENT): 45 hours, 50% practical application of technical principles, designing and making principles and specialist knowledge.
