Lower Sixth: •The changing state of the family. •Cultural life in Berlin. •The digital world. •Highlights of German-speaking artistic culture, including art, architecture. •How the past has shaped present-day German through the study of film. Upper Sixth: •Aspects of political life in the German-speaking world. •Germany and the EU. •Immigration, integration and racism. •The reunification and its consequences. •Literature - students will write critical and analytical essays on the work studied, in German. •Independent research project on an area of their choice.
