Assessment

Performing: Non-examined assessment: externally assessed. Minimum of eight minutes of public performance, recorded on or after 1st March in the year of submission—30% weighting of final qualification. Composition: Non-examined assessment: externally assessed. Two compositions, with at least one set to a brief by the examination board. Minimum duration six minutes—30% weighting of final qualification. Appraising: Written examination (two hours) covering areas of study, dictation, and two essays—40% weighting of the final qualification.
