Mathematics

Course summary

Students will understand a variety of mathematical topics and processes that will promote confidence, foster enjoyment and provide a strong foundation for progress to further study. The course will extend their range of mathematical skills and techniques, show how different areas of Maths are related, and students will see how Maths is relevant to the real world. As well as learning new skills and techniques, students will be expected to reason logically, make deductions and conclusions, communicate their interpretations effectively, as well as construct mathematical proofs. Problem-solving and using a data set will also be key components of the course.
