This course involves real-life maths problem-solving and analysis of complex problems. It is ideal for anyone looking to study Pharmacy, Research, Science, or Medicine for example at university. It is an excellent bridging course for many undergraduate degrees and can lead to a career in Chemistry, Medicine, Pharmacy, Research, or Finance. The course is sectioned into three main topics: • Physical Chemistry - focusing on maths, atomic structure, bonding and the amount of substance. • Inorganic Chemistry - looking further into periodicity and transition metals. • Organic Chemistry – working on fuels, reaction mechanisms and synthesis. There will be practical work involved throughout the course and classroom-based research.
