The examination at the end of the two-year course consists of 3 papers. Paper 1 (Markets and market failure) and Paper 2 (National and international economy) are both worth 33.3% of the A Level and involve a 2-hour written exam (data response and essay). Paper 3 (Economic principles and issues) is also worth 33.3% of the A Level and involves a 2-hour written exam (data response and multiple choice questions).
