Course summary

A-level Further Mathematics is designed to broaden and deepen the mathematical knowledge and skills developed when studying A-level Mathematics. A-Levels in both subjects would be ideal for those wishing to go on to study (but not limited to) Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics and Engineering based degrees. The content of A-Level Further Mathematics is (briefly): Proof, Complex numbers, Matrices, Further Algebra and Functions, Further Calculus, Further Vectors, Polar coordinates, Hyperbolic functions, Differential equations, Trigonometry, Coordinate geometry, and the content from two of the three applied fields Discrete Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics.
