Course summary

A-Level Physics is a challenging but worthwhile and rewarding subject to study. It will equip you with valuable life skills involving problem solving and a knowledge of topics ranging from Particle Physics to how the universe is put together. A-Level Physics is an excellent base for further study at university in a wide range of areas such as Medicine, Mathematics and Engineering. It is also a very useful course to study alongside Creative Arts, Languages and Humanities. The problem solving skills gained over the two year course are invaluable in their application to a wide range of careers – not just science. Students with a good degree in Physics for example are keenly sought in area such as finance and politics for their excellent ability to solve complex problems with methodology. Mathematics is the tool of the subject and ideally should be studied at A-Level alongside the Physics course. However, it is not necessary to take A-Level Mathematics, you just need the ability to do that level of maths.
