Entry Requirements

Entry for external candidates at 16+ is conditional upon a candidate achieving a minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9 – 5 (or equivalent), including a minimum Grade 6 in the subjects proposed for study at A Level or can provide evidence that they would succeed in the given subject at A Level standard. This course would suit you if your curiosity about human physiology and the wider natural world have been piqued but you are frustrated by the superficial explanations offered at GCSE. You must achieve a minimum of a grade 6 in Biology or 6-6 in Combined Science, and a grade 6 in Mathematics, at GCSE, to study Biology at A Level.
