Entry Requirements

The key to a good result in IB Economics at both HL and SL is that pupils should be able to think logically. An interest in current affairs, an appreciation of differing international perspectives and the ability to communicate these with others are also essential. It is not necessary to take any particular level of Mathematics as part of the IB Diploma Programme. However, those thinking of taking Economics at university should take Mathematics HL as this is often the requirement for entry to study Economics at the best universities.
