437 million people in the world speak Spanish, the second most spoken language; why wouldn’t you want to be one of them? Clearly and without a doubt with English and Spanish, you can go anywhere in the world and be understood! You will achieve this after having completed your A-level course. If you like talking about food, love music, and dance, are passionate about animals, enjoy history, politics, discovering and investigating and women's rights, Spanish is definitely for you! This variety of topics you will cover at A level means there will never be a dull moment. Even more, if you like dynamic, fun and fulfilling lessons you should join the Spanish gang! We cover a play by Lorca, The House of Bernarda Alba, where we will be transported to 1936 and will be immersed in the lives of our characters. In the movie Pan’s Labyrinth, by Guillermo del Toro, we will move from fantasy to the aftermath of the Civil War. The paired/individual lessons with the language assistant will give you confidence to use the language, improve your skills and ask any questions in a very relaxed environment! The skills and understanding of other nations and cultures that languages can provide you with will set you up fantastically for university and the world of work in the future!
