Course summary

The A-level Philosophy, Ethics and Religion course entices students to question, instruct, choose and debate through all kinds of issues including life, death, and faith. Philosophers have argued for thousands of years to consider ‘why we are here?’ and ‘who created creation’? This is a subject where we can delve into these philosophical and ethical arguments and create our own understandings surrounding the ‘ultimate questions’. Students choosing to pursue this discipline in the Sixth Form will follow the the AQA Philosophy, Ethics and Religion programme. The course is challenging but ultimately rewarding, developing skills of research, critical thinking and interpretation.
