Assessment

The A-level will be assessed in the following ways: • You will complete a 3 hour written paper offering responses to the novel you have analysed, the poet you have studied and the anthology of writing about place. • You will complete a 2 hour 30 minute written paper giving a response to the play you have studied and a creative response to the novel you have studied for this purpose. • Your personal investigation of connections between literary and non-literary texts will be assessed through a coursework study of 2,500 – 3,000 words.
