Course summary
Art is all about visual communication and the GCSE course enables you to learn how to communicate effectively using a visual language. You will be able to develop your independence as an artist, with the full support and guidance of experienced teachers, using excellent facilities and resources. An exciting aspect of the Fine Art GCSE course is that you will make choices and select the major themes for your work so you will be able to produce work you are completely engaged with and enjoy doing. We will look at and be inspired by art from different times and cultures, take a study trip and have an artist workshop as part of the course. Studying Fine Art helps you to develop problem solving skills, creative thinking skills, investigation, research and communication skills; all vital for the world we live and work in.
