Course summary

Studying Chemistry at A level will enable you to cover the fundamentals of Physical, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry in more detail. As a science subject, you will learn how to be objective and develop problem solving and analytical skills. It helps you to challenge ideas and derive solutions by using logic and step-by-step reasoning. Chemistry requires teamwork and communication skills and there will be lots of opportunities to develop practical skills over the two-year course. Your specialist teachers will make the course engaging and enjoyable. They have a variety of industrial work experience between them and will be able to give relevance to the topics covered from their own personal careers. As part of the A Level course you may go on trips or attend lectures on topics covered in the course which will give you an insight into careers related to the applications of Chemistry. .
