Course summary

The language element expects students to build on their GCSE skills so they can tackle the translation of Latin passages. There is greater focus on understanding the way in which the languages work and plenty of opportunity to read beyond the syllabus. Authors on the syllabus include Vergil, Ovid, Cicero and Tacitus.
