Assessment

Performing: 35% or 25%, depending on specialism chosen. The performance is usually undertaken in March as a recital. The performance takes place in front of a visiting examiner. Composing: 35% or 25%, depending on specialism chosen. On 1st September each year the examination board will publish on its website (www.eduqas.com) the composition brief to be followed. All compositions have to be recorded and sent to the exam board either in MP3 or CD format. Listening and Set works: 40% This is assessed in a 2 hour 15 minute final exam at the end of the course.
