Assessment

How is the course assessed? Paper 1: 2 hours (35%) A mixture of short and long answer questions on practical skills, inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry. Paper 2: 2 hours (35%) The structure is the same as for Paper 1, however the paper covers practical skills, organic chemistry and physical chemistry. Paper 3: 2 hours (30%) This is a synoptic paper that covers content from across the whole course. Predominantly a mixture of long and short answer questions testing the specification and the understanding in practical techniques and data analysis. There are also a number of multiple choice questions. No coursework
