Assessment

How is the course assessed? Paper 1: 2 hours (34%) A mixture of short, multiple choice and long answer questions on waves, mechanics, particles, electricity and periodic motion. Paper 2: 2 hours (34%) The structure is the same as for paper 1; however the paper covers thermal physics, fields and nuclear physics. Paper 3: 2 hours (32%) 45 marks of short and long answer questions on practical experiments and data analysis. 35 marks of short and long answer questions on an optional topic. Students will also complete endorsed practical work throughout the two years which is assessed as either a pass or a fail.
