Assessment

60% Personal Investigation (coursework project) undertaken over three terms. This includes an extensive portfolio of preparatory and experimental studies, one or more resolved pieces and an essay of 3000 words. 40% Set Task. This is a response to a starting point set by the examination board. It includes preparatory work undertaken over one term and culminates in a final piece produced in examination conditions over 15 hours, spread over three days.
