Assessment

Four skill areas are tested: reading, listening, writing and speaking. Students learn the useful skill of translating in and out of their own language as well as the new skill of summary writing. They complete research on an aspect of a Spanish-speaking country and present this as part of their orally assessed “Independent Research Project.” They learn to read a book in Spanish and to analyse a film and are able to write about these works in Spanish
