Component 1: Personal Investigation (Portfolio of work) Weighting: 60% Marks: 96 Length of exam: No time limit Component 2: Externally Set Assignment Weighting: 40% Marks: 96 Length of exam: Prep time + 15 hours exam time Exam: Students select a question title from the exam board which acts as a starting point when they receive their exam papers on February 1st. There will be a 15-hour time limited, unaided, supervised exam in the summer term. Candidates produce a clearly defined selection of work which will lead to a finished piece and be handed in at the end of their exam.
