Course summary

Physics is taught from Year 7 to A-level, largely as a practically-based subject involving investigations and teacher-led demonstrations. We give support to those who need it the most, whilst stretching the most able. Sixth Form pupils regularly choose an Extended Project Qualification subject related to Physics. St Edmund’s teachers have extensive teaching experience and, and we buck the national gender trend for teachers of STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics): of our four specialist Physics teachers, three are female.
