Course summary
A Level Fine Art encompasses traditional and digital 2D artistic disciplines, methodologies and processes. Students confident in drawing and painting are always encouraged to undertake this course. You will work in one or more area(s) of Fine art, such as drawing, painting, mixed-media, installation and printmaking. As a Fine Art student, you will engage and expand your visual research, sustained by painting and other appropriate experimentation with diverse traditional and digital materials and processes including the thoughtful critique of 2D artworks. Like Art, Craft and Design, your art practice should form a means of personal enquiry and expression. Anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Visual Arts should undertake this course as it enables and prepares students who apply for Fine Art Undergraduate Courses.
