Assessment

External assessment takes place at the end of Year 13 through three compulsory written papers: Paper 1: Marketing, people and global businesses. Paper 2: Business activities, decisions and strategy. Paper 3: Investigating business in a competitive environment. • Each exam lasts 2 hours and has 100 marks available. • Most marks are allocated towards extended open-response questions (essays). • All questions are applied to a case study. • 20% of the total marks are for quantitative skills (interpreting and manipulating numerical data and carrying out calculations). • Sample assessments can be found on the Edexcel website and school SharePoint.
