NON-EXAMINED ASSESSMENT (NEA): Substantial Design and Make Project - The NEA allows students the opportunity to develop and illustrate their understanding of all strands of the A Level. The NEA is a self-directed project allowing students to study in depth a chosen area of product design which is of interest to them or will support an application to Higher Education. The NEA is worth 50% of the qualification. Trips - The Design Technology department run a biennial trip abroad visiting factories and manufacturing facilities relevant to the course to allow students to understand real-world applications.
