Entry Requirements

As a guide, to be able to achieve success in Chemistry at A level, you will probably need a minimum of Grade 7 but preferably an 8 or 9 at GCSE for Chemistry or Combined Science. A good grade for Mathematics at GCSE is also important, but you do not necessarily need to study Mathematics for A level. However, if you are thinking of continuing with a Chemistry-related course at University, then Mathematics, especially for the highly selective universities, is often essential.
