Geography
Course summary
A feature of this course is that it includes one week of residential fieldwork, and up to two days of local based fieldwork. The department strongly believes that much of the work required at AS and A level is best taught in the field, and these trips have proved to be very popular with the students. A small charge is made for the residential fieldtrip. There is a coursework component of this course which is worth 20%. The course has been written to offer an exciting insight into many of the contemporary issues that we face in both physical and human environments. We have enjoyed some excellent results in recent years and regularly send a high proportion of our students on to University to follow Geography-related courses.
