Entry Requirements

Pupils are required to have achieved a minimum of six Grade 6s to progress into the Sixth Form. It is expected that you will achieve a Grade 7 or above at GCSE in the subjects you wish to continue to A Level. If a pupil is not on track to meet this requirements, she is invited to discuss the most appropriate curriculum for her with our Deputy Head Academic, Mr. Michael Smyth. A Level courses which you may not have studied at GCSE have their own requirements which are outlined below: New A Level subjects: • Classical Civilisation – GCSE English at Grade 7 or above. • Economics – GCSE Maths and English at Grade 7 or above. • Politics – GCSE English at Grade 7 or above. • History of Art - GCSE English at Grade 7 or above and either History/Geography/RS at Grade 7 or above. • Physical Education and Psychology – GCSE Maths, English and Biology at Grade 7 or above.
