Mathematics (Further)

Course summary

Further Mathematics is designed to broaden and deepen the mathematical knowledge and skills developed in A-Level Mathematics. It aims to stretch and challenge those high-achieving students who have good mathematics skills and enjoy the subject. The topics are more sophisticated and advanced than those in Mathematics. Further Mathematics involves studying both pure and applied modules. All students will study mathematical argument; language and proof; mathematical problem solving; and mathematical modelling. They will also study mechanics and statistics.
