Course summary

This practical and engaging course allows learners to study Physical Education (PE) in an academic setting enabling them to critically analyse and evaluate their physical performance and apply their experience of physical activity in developing their knowledge and understanding of the subject. The non-examined practical allows students to explore the activity as a sports performer or coach where they will analyse and evaluate their performance. Students will broaden their depth of knowledge on fascinating topics such as the developing technology in sport, and the politically driven History of the Olympics. The course will prepare learners for further study of PE or sports science courses at University, as well as subject-related areas such as psychology, sociology or biology.
