UNIT 1 Voices in Speech and Writing: Open book (clean copies) 2hr 30m exam 40% You will study ‘Voices in Speech and Writing: an anthology’, a collection of different types of literary, non-literary and digital texts (20th and 21st century) as well as one play. Examples of texts studied One of: A Streetcar Named Desire UNIT 2 Varieties in Language and Literature: Open book (clean copies) 2hr 30m exam 40% You will study A wide range of non-fiction texts on a chosen theme, in preparation for an unseen text response. You will also study two literary texts from a chosen theme. Examples of texts studied The Great Gatsby, Othello UNIT 3 Investigating and creating texts: Assignment one: two pieces of original writing Assignment two: two analytical commentaries 20% You will study At least one fiction and one non-fiction text (free choice).
