Geology

Course summary

Geology is a science that combines elements of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Geography to better understand Planet Earth. It has proved very popular with Sedbergh sixth-form students in recent years, with many continuing with the subject in higher education and beyond. The Geology Department was established in September 2000 and has one full-time teacher, who studied Geology at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. The dedicated classroom is home to a collection of fascinating rocks, minerals and fossils. No previous experience of Geology is required to undertake the A Level.
