Course summary

The combination of covering key chemical concepts with integrated practical work is highly appealing as it provides important context that will enable you to apply theoretical knowledge to the world of chemistry at large, whilst giving you an exciting insight into the contemporary world of chemistry. For example, studying chemistry at IB will answer questions, such as how chemistry can help in the fight against global warming and COVID-19. It also develops many transferable skills needed for future study and the world of work. As at GCSE, Chemistry combines well with all subjects and facilitates students to go on to study and work in an incredibly diverse range of subjects and careers.
