The emphasis of the course is on applying theory to practice and students studying the course develop not only academic skills but also practical and personal skills in order to prepare them for higher education and employment. All units must be successfully achieved in order to gain this qualification. Group work, taught sessions, independent study and wider reading are integral features of this course.
