Research Methods: You will learn how to conduct your own sociological research, from interviews to reviewing documents and official statistics. Crime and deviance with theory and methods: You will learn about criminal and deviant behaviour, including factors that might lead a person to follow this path in life and how the media portrays them. Optional topics culture and identity families and households health work, poverty and welfare beliefs in society global development the media stratification and differentiation Three x 2 hour exams – including short answer questions and extended writing questions.
