Assessment

The Level 3 BTEC Extended Certificate in Applied Science consists of three mandatory units plus one optional unitcompleted over 2 years. Two of the units are assessed through coursework which is internally assessed and externallymoderated. One unit is an external exam. The remaining synoptic unit is a task set and marked externally but completedunder supervised conditions.
