Course summary

The LIBF Diploma in Financial Studies contains four units over two years. In Year One students concentrate on personal financial capability, and successful completion leads to an award of the Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFs). In Year Two students then apply the skills and knowledge learned in year one to a wider examination of the financial services industry. This leads to the achievement of the Diploma in Financial Studies (DipFs) The CeFS is equivalent to an AS level, graded A-E and is worth up to 28 UCAS points. Once the Certificate is completed, students' progress onto the second year, the Diploma in Financial Studies (DipFS). This equivalent to an A level, graded A*-E and carries up to 56 UCAS points. You may decide to continue your Financial Studies qualification at university or follow a career within the financial services industry. This course would allow you progression into Banking, Insurance, Mortgage Consultancy, Debt Counselling, Stock Broking or as an Independent Financial Advisor.
