Component 1: Drama A written exam of 2 hours 15 minutes covering a choice of dramatic texts from a distinct period of time, from the genres of either tragedy or comedy. Component 2: Prose A written exam of 1hour, covering two texts from a chosen theme; for example, ‘Childhood. Component 3: Poetry A written exam of 2 hours 15 minutes covering a selection of poetry from either a distinct period of time, or a named poet e.g. Christina Rossetti. Coursework: An internally assessed piece of work in which you have free choice of two texts to study and compare. You will produce one extended comparative essay.
