Course summary

BTEC National Extended Certificate in Health & Social Care QAN code 60171972/PA1 This course provides a Level 3 introduction to the health and social care sector. It is intended to be studied alongside other subjects as BTEC or A Level programmes and is equivalent to one A Level. Pupils will study four units of work: Unit 1: Human Lifespan Development Unit 2: Working in Health and Social Care Unit 5: Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs Plus an optional unit selected from: Sociological Perspectives, Psychological Perspectives, Supporting Individuals with Additional Needs, Physiological disorders depending on numbers and staffing.
