Course summary
Course Outline / Topics You will study sociology, history, politics, literature, film, media and ethics in the language you choose to study. You will debate a range of topics including: the significance of marriage in modern society; the impact of technology on society; music; culture and the politics and economics of French speaking countries. You will study a period of French history in Year 13. La Résistance is a key movement in France’s modern history during WW2. You will study a film which will expose you to colloquial French and allow you to understand French thought and debate issues such as immigration and racism in France and in the media. You will study a French novel, Un Sac de Billes, which is a gripping and uplifting story about two boys risking their lives during WW2 as they try to escape Nazi occupied Paris.
