Course summary

Course Outline / Topics  You will study sociology, history, politics, literature, film, media and ethics in the language you choose to study.  You will debate a range of topics including: the significance of marriage in modern society; the impact of technology on society; music; culture and the politics and economics of French speaking countries.  You will study a period of French history in Year 13. La Résistance is a key movement in France’s modern history during WW2.  You will study a film which will expose you to colloquial French and allow you to understand French thought and debate issues such as immigration and racism in France and in the media.  You will study a French novel, Un Sac de Billes, which is a gripping and uplifting story about two boys risking their lives during WW2 as they try to escape Nazi occupied Paris.
