Assessment

At the end of the course the students work is assessed with four different categories. The students will be prompted throughout the course to complete work that will evidence the assessment criteria. AO1- Develop ideas through investigations, demonstrating critical understanding of sources. Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding. AO2- Refine work by exploring ideas, selecting and experimenting with appropriate media, materials, techniques and processes. Refine ideas through experimenting and selecting appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes. AO3- Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions as work progresses. Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to their intentions in visual and/or other forms. AO4- Present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and demonstrates understanding of visual language. Present a personal, informed and meaningful response demonstrating analytical and critical understanding, realising intentions and, where appropriate, making connections between visual, written, oral or other elements.
